âThe Shiga Lake Hotel has a genuinely enviable location, especially if you're there to ski; the ski-in/ski-out access is a real advantage, placing you directly on the slopes. I appreciate the family-friendly touches, like the children's play areas and dedicated buffet. Meeting Leon, the resident golden retriever, would alone be worth the stay-a truly affectionate presence.â
